It’s November, the season of Thanksgiving! Raising A Reader thanks you for your dedication and support for children and families across the country. As you continue this great work, know that Raising A Reader is available to help you along the way.
Between now and November 30th, for every purchase you make, your organization will be entered into a raffle to win a FREE Wordless Book Collection! That’s over a $200 value! Join us weekly on Facebook “Live†as we announce the Affiliates who are entered into the drawing and be sure not to miss the “Big Reveal†on December 3rd.
Don’t forget to submit your orders by December 1st to receive materials by the end of the year. Any orders placed during November/December should include shipping instructions during the holiday season.

Click – Introduce your children, ages 3-6, to STEAM topics such as science, art, nature, and environmental issues with CLICK magazine.
Babybug – English/ Spanish 0-3 : Read aloud stories for babies and toddlers.

Buffalo Public Schools launches Raising A Reader!
Buffalo Public Schools (NY), launched Raising A Reader during their Saturday Academy at two of their Community Schools. Families were invited to sign up for programming which takes place over four bi-weekly sessions during Saturday Academy. Children were invited to create a “reading buddy” craft while parents learned the process of the programming and the importance of creating reading routines in their homes. Families were given the Red Book Bag along with additional keepsake books for their home library.
Following Saturday Academy, the teachers and staff at BPS Community Schools attended professional development and Implementer training for the Raising A Reader program which they will begin to implement in their classrooms. Staff learned the research and theory that supports the program along with how to begin implementation in their classrooms. Lastly, they were guided as they set up their classroom book bag rotation and began packing their Red Book Bags.
